It’s that time of year again!!! Yep, you either dread it or live for it… finding the perfect gifts for your loved ones for the holidays! Personally, I love gift-giving. I have more anticipation to see that lucky person’s reaction to the gift, than the one actually opening it.
But maybe you’re not the crazy Target lady or Amazon’s number one customer. You dread waiting in those ridiculously long lines at the mall. Maybe you’re one of those last-minute shoppers. You’re stuck and you don’t know what to get your dad/mom/sis/bro/S.O./BFF/pet for the holidays. Well, as a gift giving EXPERT I am here to help!
I’ve compiled some of my favorite gift options for different people/interests/personalities mostly found on Amazon. Since I am doing most of my gift shopping virtually, you may or may not be able to find these items somewhere other than the internet. But the internet can be your best friend! For instance, if you are worried about shipping costs, but you plan on binge shopping online for gifts, I suggest signing up for Amazon Prime for $99/year. That means you get free shipping ALL YEAR! Not just Christmas. Maybe you can weasel your way into a free 30-day trial. Somehow I did that once. And did I mention they have Christmas music to listen to while you shop? Sold.
I will do a series of posts throughout December of gift ideas for every type of person. Today we begin with my favorite type of person…
FOR YOUR FURRY FRIEND:
He’s the one that greets you the minute you enter the door, and shows love for you 24/7. Your pet should be at the top of your holiday shopping list, since they give you the gift of adoration every damn day of the year. Here’s a few ideas:
- Kong Dog Toys – If you’ve got a dog like mine he probably tears up every toy he gets within a week. The good news is, there’s a toy out there that can withstand even the toughest and roughest dogs. My dog loves his Kong toys and I guarantee they last at least a few months. Put a dog treat in it and he’ll keep himself busy for hours trying to get it out.
- Kong PB Treats – While you’re at it, put in an order for these babies. I’d love to get these for my little Teddy boy.
- Bark Box – OK. This may be a little out of your price range but if you treat your furry loved one like a child, maybe this is a great option for you. Sign your doggy up for a monthly box of goodies for $19-$29 per month.
- I just had to share this gift for cats that is TRULY amazing. Any cat owner will vouch for the effectiveness of a laser pointer. But personally my finger gets a little tired from pressing the button for so long. ENTER: FroliCat BOLT Interactive Laser Pet Toy. At only $18 this gift is a STEAL! Jeez, if only I could get this for my sister’s cat. He would be in HeAvEn.
Well, there you have it! Hopefully by now you at least have some ideas for your feline/canine loved ones for the holidays. Stay tuned for the next chapter in the New Hampshire Nonconformist’s Gift Guide!
