The Best Red Pepper Hummus Recipe Ever!

I’ve done it, guys… I mastered the art of hummus making! Every time I made hummus at school, it always seemed to taste like pure tahini. Tahini tastes good, don’t get me wrong. But I’ve been searching for THE recipe that tastes just like Sabra hummus and I’ve found it. I pretty much used a blend of different recipes and made adaptions to make it my own. And, as you all know, I’m all about easy recipes and hummus is the perfect hors d’oeuvres or sandwich spread that only takes about ten minutes to prepare.

Roasted Red Pepper Hummus

Makes a LOT (probably 10-12 servings), total prep time 10 minutes.

  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 can chickpeas, drained
  • salt (to taste)
  • 1/3 cup Tahini
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup roasted red peppers
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 tsp dired basil

The directions are simple: blend in a food processor! Make sure your Tahini is well-stirred, as the oil tends to float to the top and leave all the sesame gunk in the bottom. Enjoy!
